March 11, 2025 – Germany – At the Embedded World conference, Qualcomm has announced its acquisition of Edge Impulse, a leading provider of edge AI and machine learning solutions for IoT applications. The move is set to enhance Qualcomm’s AI-driven IoT portfolio, empowering developers with new tools to build intelligent, data-driven applications across multiple industries.

Strengthening AI and IoT Capabilities

Edge Impulse is known for its developer-friendly AI platform, which enables low-power edge computing for applications such as industrial automation, smart retail, healthcare, and security. Qualcomm’s acquisition is expected to broaden its software and AI capabilities, supporting developers in creating next-generation IoT applications.
